Complaints about people getting drunk at Christmas are as old as the celebration itself. Seizing the opportunity to get utterly plastered with the happy excuse that it is part of the festive season is a strong tradition which shows little sign of abating. But there are few specific ways of doing it. There are certainly associated drinks which most people rarely drink outside December, but they are far from universal, and most remain winter drinks, or celebratory drinks, rather than uniquely Christmas drinks.
