  • About
Many of these fruits originate from the tropical zones of Asia, South America and Africa. Others, such as figs and dates, come from the Mediterranean and have only recently become available as fresh rather than dried fruits. Exotic fruits make intriguing additions to cheese boards and fresh fruit salads, and some make superb ice creams and sorbets.

1 Date Fresh dates can be served whole or stoned, or halved, stoned and stuffed with a sweet or savoury filling, or chopped.

2 Kiwi fruit Rich in vitamin C, this is best raw when fully ripe. Cut off the top and scoop out the flesh with a teaspoon (like eating a boiled egg) or peel and slice.
