  • About

If you long to return, at least for a few hours, to the simple pleasures of old-time country living, go to your kitchen and make pork sausage seasoned the way you like it. It’s not too difficult, especially if you have an electric food chopper. Our recipe for Homemade Pork Sausage, which came to us from a Kentucky farmer, has won friends in many places. Serve some of it to guests—perhaps in our Crusty Sausage Cakes—with hot, brown-topped biscuits or waffles, plus butter, table syrup or honey and plenty of steaming coffee. This makes an ideal menu for a country-style Sunday evening supper. Good, too, for breakfast any old day.
