Cucumbers

Cucumbers, particularly if they are fresh from the garden (although store-bought ones are very good), are one of the most excellent vegetables. Properly made, they are crisp and there are few vegetables likelier to refresh the palate. Here are two summery ways to prepare cucumbers, one with sour cream, the other in the Swedish manner.
