You’ll never find a more tasty and satisfying jonquil-time dessert than this homey, last-minute pie. It will make practically any meal a success. Good idea to finish baking the pie while everyone is enjoying the main course (put it in the oven about 10 minutes before you sit down to eat). Just before serving, make the sweet, caramel-tasting syrup that contrasts so delightfully with the crisp, hot crust and cold ice cream.
