Simple Pasta Suppers

  • About
Most of my ideas for pasta are interchangeable with rice if you want to switch. Pasta sauces don’t need to be elaborate, just one or two quality ingredients can make something sensational.

Cheese and butter. Just these two ingredients, stirred into hot pasta, make an easy supper to serve with a salad.

Fresh herbs. Stir any combination in with butter, olive oil or lemon.

A tin of tuna or salmon. Cook in some butter with petits pois and a chopped onion and add to a bowl of pasta.

A tin of tomatoes. Cook with half an onion and some crushed garlic until the tomatoes cook down to a nice thick tomato sauce. You could add capers, olives or any fresh or dried herbs if you’ve got them.
