  • About
Halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays. Especially in New Orleans, where we love to costume, Halloween has always been a sign that Mardi Gras is on its way!

From haunted plantations all along the Mississippi River to haunted restaurants, hotels, and bed and breakfasts, Louisiana must be one of the ghostliest states in the nation. With hundreds of years of fuel for the fodder, in the supernatural department, we are rife with material. The author Jessica Harris, who is a fully indoctrinated CandomblĂ© voodoo priestess, makes New Orleans her sometimes home. With our ancient cemeteries and religious traditions, Jessica has described New Orleans as “a spiritual keyhole.”
