My father was a sales manager for Fraser and Neave (F&N), then bottlers of Coca-Cola and producers of the local Tiger beer. He was offered the desirable job at a young age because of his soccer skills.

Playing for the Fraser and Neave football team as a Centre Right. My father is in the front row, second from right.

My father was recruited to play for the company team against the various trading houses established by the British. At F&N, as it was usually called, he handled several accounts and forged close friendships with many of his restaurant clients, including a famous Indian-Muslim restaurant called Jubilee.
