Importing stuff

  • About
The import trade came as a revelation. It is extremely hard. As much as my heart soars at the prospect of bringing fresh and unusual produce to the British table, it sinks at the thought of yet another consignment arriving at the airport at two in the morning, or another container of jumbled goods which we know will be six hours in the unloading. Although I refer to our own experiences here, the same is true for any small company importing food from outside the EU; it is not for those of a naturally irate disposition.
