There are many memories of that first night; one related to the long-standing symbiosis between art and the art of the kitchen. One of Neat’s favourite restaurants is the famed La Colombe d’Or in St Paul de Vence in France. Legendary artists such as Picasso and Matisse left their works behind them (they still hang there today), sometimes in return for lodging and a meal.
