  • About

Truffles are one of the great gastronomic treats, along with foie gras and caviar. My first experience with a fresh truffle was in Périgord in 1978. I was travelling through France with my wife Jenny, my brother Peter and his wife Beverly, and their daughter Renée. Peter had organized a meeting with the then President of the Truffle Foundation, and we were taken on a search for truffles. It had been a very lean year for production so we were thrilled when, during our adventure, he discovered one of the largest truffles to be produced that year.
