This is the start of the new season produce coming in: some early British asparagus, spinach and look out for the slim pink stems of Yorkshire rhubarb. This rhubarb, although fairly pricey, is the sign that the warmer temperatures are on their way. Its tender and tangy flavour will help lift a rich dessert but I’ve not made it work in soup - yet!
