Ronnie Eunson, Shetland

  • About

Del the sheepdog bounds to the top of the hill at his master’s command to round up the sheep. After several frantic zigzags around them, they end up in a line like dancing girls at the Folies Bergères, except in place of leathers there is wool. Lots of it. These Shetland sheep resemble the sheep young children draw: thin, spindly legs with a barrel-shaped load of wool on top. As the line approaches, Ronnie Eunson, who farms here at Uradale farm, continues to give Del his commands - Away back’ - until the dog finally crouches down behind his charges.
