Winemaker Gogi Dakishvili is a fixture here and helped create a line of qvevri wines that bridge the gap between traditional Georgian wines and those with a more international style. The winery produces 1.5 million bottles: 30 percent are made in qvevri, making Schuchmann the largest producer of non-organic qvevri wines in Georgia.
