I was born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica. I was blessed with a small community of people who were parents, teachers, and mentors. They instilled in me the value of hard work, discipline and honesty. I grew up as the youngest child to both parents, who had older children from previous marriages. At home, much emphasis was placed on academics, but I preferred drawing and athletics. I also liked soccer, but track and field was where I excelled.
In high school I joined the drama club, where I did a couple school plays, and won bronze and silver medals, and so for years I wanted to be an actor. My high school internship was at a local radio station. I learned how to do voice overs, and demo reels. After high school I spent a year working in tourism, which led me to my first glimpse into the service and food industry. After earning a live abroad scholarship, I spent some time in Venezuela, Puerto la Cruz studying tourism.
