  • About
One Ukrainian proverb goes: “without bread, it’s no lunch; without cabbage, it’s no borsch.”
For centuries Ukraine has been called the “breadbasket of Europe” thanks to its great size and the remarkable fertility of its soil. It might easily be called the greatest cabbage patch on earth, such is the store Ukrainians set by this staple. There is no letting up on demand and now people overseas have discovered the pleasures of Ukrainian cabbage. The season 2018/19 saw exports of Ukrainian cabbage increase six-fold.
