While some around the world might struggle to point to Kyiv on a map, few have not heard of the legendary Chicken Kyiv, the mouth-watering meeting of chicken fillet and butter and garlic filling. Demonstrating his quest for originality, chef Yurii has his own interpretation of the Kyiv dish (no garlic) but elsewhere there is the pungent bulb in abundance.

In Ukraine, garlic is found simply everywhere, with countless dishes generously flavoured with it (garlic is often the main seasoning).
Ukrainian garlic has a strong aroma and a more intense flavor than bulbs from other countries.
