Tom Conran, trained as a Chef, initially studying at La Varenne Ecole de Cuisine in Paris in 1985 and subsequently working in the kitchens of Alastair Little, Langan's Brasserie, Sally Clarke & 192. In 1987 he was involved in the opening of Bibendum Restaurant in Michelin House, Fulham Road, setting up and Managing the Oyster Bar on the ground floor. In 1990 he opened his own business, Tom's Deli on Westbourne Grove, this was followed by The Cow Saloon Bar & Dining rooms in 1995, which won The Evening Standard Pub of The Year for London in 2000, his other businesses include, Lucky Seven Diner in 2000 and Crazy Homies Tequila Bar & Taqueria in 2005. During this time has also worked as a consultant for The Conran Restaurants Group, helping with the opening of Quaglino's Restaurant and The Bluebird Club and Dining Rooms. In 2002 he worked with Tiffanie Darke on the relaunch of The Sunday Times Style Magazine as their Cookery Correspondent. He lives in West London and has 4 daughters.
