  • About

Not everyone is a fan of sweet, fruity drinks. Tequila’s crisp, edgy flavor is just as delicious in this vegetable-spiked cocktail. For a drink so simple, the flavors are vibrant and clean. The celery and spiciness are reminiscent of a Bloody Maria, but without the tomato. Perhaps it is an invisible Maria?

Ingredients

  • ½ celery stick, split and cut into ½-inch pieces
  • 6 sprigs cilantro
  • 1 thin slice jalapeño

Method

In a 10-ounce rocks glass, crush the celery, cilantro, and jalapeño with a muddler. Fill the glass with ice and pour in the tequila and lime juice. Stir well and serve with a stick of celery, preferably with leaves.
