To tell you the truth, budino is just a fancy Italian word for pudding. Good old American pudding is pretty much indistinguishable from the more debonair-sounding budino—but this is a debate I avoid with certain family members. I have named this dessert in deference to them, and it is a really great pudding.
Made-from-scratch pudding is superior to the packaged variety in every imaginable way and in theory, it won’t take you much longer to make. I prefer a richer pudding experience,
