  • About

This is our basic simple syrup recipe. We’ll often make variations by substituting palm sugar or agave nectar for some of the granulated sugar, or by infusing ginger or mint into the syrup while it is boiling. It is great for making your own sodas by adding it to soda water.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups (480ml) water
  • 2 cups (400g

Method

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the ingredients. Stir and bring to a simmer. Simmer for 15 to 20 seconds, then remove from the heat. Allow to cool. Transfer to a sterilized jar (see Note) and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.
