  • 150 g (5 oz) flour

Method

Put the flour and salt in a large bowl and make a well in the centre. Break in the egg and start stirring it round with a wooden spoon, gradually incorporating the flour. As the mixture becomes thick add the milk and water gradually, beating all the time. When you have a smooth batter add the melted butter and beat thoroughly.

Allow the batter to stand for 30 minutes then beat again.
