I bet you already have most of these ingredients in your storecupboard. I make these with my daughter every year and we vary the fillings according to how adventurous she is feeling. You will need an egg mould for this recipe, which you can find online or at some large supermarkets.

Method

Before making the eggs, soften the dates for the salted caramel by soaking them in a bowl of warm water for about 1 hour. Drain.

Melt the coconut oil in a bain-marie (or in a bowl set over a saucepan of simmering water). Once melted, carefully transfer the bowl to your work surface.
