Meatloaf really needs no introduction and I only include my favourite way of making it because an American cookbook would not be complete without a recipe for one. What a useful dish it is! Inexpensive and adaptable, it goes well with all kinds of vegetables and is delicious sliced cold, in sandwiches with mayonnaise or served with a salad. This meatloaf is moist and tasty yet slices well hot or cold.
