White Cabbage Salad with Blue Cheese Dressing


  • 1 medium-size white cabbage (or Chinese cabbage)
  • 3-4 oz (75-100 g) piece of Danish blue cheese
  • 1 carton fresh soured cream
  • pinch of grated nutmeg
  • a little top of the milk or single cream


Slice the white cabbage finely and put in a bowl. To make the dressing blend all the other ingredients together (you can do this in seconds with a liquidiser) adding enough top of the milk to give a coating consistency. Season to taste with salt and black pepper.
