  • About

If you have no personal concoction to warm the spirit at Christmas time and want to stick to old traditions, drink the health of your family and friends round the Wassail bowl on Christmas Eve or Twelfth Night. But remember to sing, too !

Ingredients

  • 4 oz (100 g) sugar
  • 3 cinnamon sticks or 2

Method

Boil up the sugar, cinnamon and fruit juice together for 5 minutes. Pour the sherry and ale into a large pan and strain the fruit juice mixture into it. Heat but don’t boil.

Garnish with slices of lemon and serve.
