  • 4 large floury potatoes
  • 3–4 tablespoons milk
  • 60 g (


  1. Peel and chop the potatoes and cook in a saucepan of boiling salted water until just tender, then drain.
  2. Return the potato to the pan over low heat. Add the milk and quickly mash, adding more milk, if necessary, for fluffy potatoes. Beat in the butter and season well.
