Ingredients: 1 c. milk; 1 tsp. vanilla; ¼ c. orange juice; 1 c. heavy cream, whipped; Pineapple filling; 1 tblsp. grated orange peel; ½ tsp. salt; ¼ tsp. baking soda; 3 tsp. baking powder; 1 c. butter; 3 c. sifted flour; 2 c. sugar 4 eggs

1 c. butter
2 c. sugar 4 eggs

Method

Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs one at a time.
Sift dry ingredients together; add alternately with the remaining ingredients, except filling and whipped cream, to creamed mixture. (Do not pour orange juice and milk into the same cup.)
Pour batter into 3 paper-lined 9" round layer cake pans. Bake in moderate oven (350°) about 35 minutes.
