For those who do not want to make a nog in such volume, here is a recipe for an individual eggnog.


  • 1 egg
  • 3 tablespoons bourbon, rum, sherry, Cognac, or applejack


  • Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and add 1 cup cracked ice. Shake vigorously, and strain into a tall glass.
  • Sprinkle with nutmeg and serve.
