Method

  • Cook apple slices in grapefruit juice until tender. Remove apples from juice.
  • Mix cornstarch, sugar and salt; add to juice and cook about 10 minutes, or until thickened and clear. Cool.
  • Place apples in pie shell. Pour thickened juice over them.
  • Serve with sweetened whipped cream.
