Ingredients

Method

  • Combine c. sugar, 1 tblsp. flour, ginger and salt. Sprinkle in pie shell.
  • Peel and core pears, slice thinly and lay slices over sugar-flour mixture.
  • Cream butter; add remaining ½ c. sugar and 1 tblsp. flour. Add egg yolks, lemon peel and juice. Beat thoroughly.
  • Add milk and mix.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into lemon mixture. P
