  • Bring 1 c. whey to a boil. Mix sugar and cornstarch and add to remaining cold whey to make a smooth paste. Combine mixture with hot whey and cook until thick, stirring constantly.
  • Combine thickened mixture with slightly beaten egg yolks, butter, salt, lemon juice and peel.
  • Cook 2 minutes. Pour into pie shell.
