This pie captures that marvelous taste of chocolate-coated cherries


  • 9" Vanilla Wafer Pie Shell
  • ½ c. butter
  • ¾ c. sugar
  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tblsp. chopped maraschino cherries
  • Whipped cream
  • Maraschino cherries (whole)


  • Cream butter and sugar together until smooth. Blend in chocolate and vanilla.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating 5 minutes after each addition. Stir in chopped cherries.
  • Spread into pie shell and chill 3 to 4 hours. Serve topped with whipped cream, garnished with maraschino cherry flowers.
