Ingredients

  • Baked 9" pie shell
  • 1 qt. vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
  • 1 c. canned pumpkin, or cooked, sieved pumpkin
  • c. sugar
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ginger
  • ½ tsp. ground cloves
  • ¼ c. chopped walnuts

Method

  • Beat together ice cream, pumpkin, sugar, salt and spices with electric beater until well blended.
  • Pour into pie shell. Sprinkle with nuts. Freeze until firm. If pie is kept longer, store in a plastic bag. Serve frozen.
