On warm fall evenings in Barcelona, we would sit at outdoor cafes to have a drink & tapas while Ezra played in the plaza. Our favorite neighborhood spot served a delicious white cava sangria. Cava is a Spanish white sparkling wine (similar to France’s Champagne or Italy’s prosecco).


1 bottle (750 ml) CAVA or any dry sparkling white wine

2 c (480 ml) white grape juice

Mix in a pitcher with:

1 c (165 g) strawberries cut in circles

1 c (125 g) raspberries

½ grapefruit, cut into triangles (peel on)

Serve chilled or over ice.
