This cold grouse dish is very good for a shooting picnic. It is a Yorkshire dish which always endears it to me. All grouse moors are beautiful (on a fine day) but it was in Yorkshire that a group of anti-hunt campaigners were trying to disrupt a grouse shoot and got lost when the mist came down. They rang the local constabulary for help on their cell phones to be told, “It’s quite warm and we’re very busy, ring us again in the morning.” They spent a bedraggled, hungry night on the moors and
