Method

  1. I put the shucked ears of corn in a large pot of boiling water (without salt). Some people like to add a teaspoon of sugar for each ear of corn—but 1 find the new sweet hybrids plenty sweet as is. Return the water to a boil; turn off the heat. Let the corn sit for about 5 minutes, then drain well. (If necessary, you can hold the com in the water for a little while longer
