Baked Pears in White Wine

Ingredients

  • 6 pears
  • sugar
  • white wine, to cover
  • whipped cream

Method

Peel pears and place in an oven-proof baking dish with dry white wine and sugar, to taste. Cover and bake in a moderate oven (375°F. Mark 4) for about 45 minutes. Serve cool or chilled with whipped cream.
