Method

Buy cut-up spareribs or cut up a slab yourself into pieces that will fit in a medium-large pot. Wash the spareribs and pat dry, then sprinkle them with salt, pepper, and paprika. Put the ribs and oil in the pot. Set the pot over medium heat, add half the onion, celery, and bell pepper, and Stir-fry a couple minutes. Add the hot water and boil 20 to 30 minutes.
