Ingredients: ¼ teaspoon cayenne; 2 tablespoons olive oil; 2 (8-ounce/225 g) packages tempeh, sliced widthwise into 8 pieces; 1½ tablespoons garlic powder; 1 tablespoon onion powder; ⅓ cup (75 ml) apple cider vinegar; 2 teaspoons liquid smoke; ⅓ cup (75 ml) tamari or soy sauce; 1 cup (240 ml) cold vegetable broth; ⅓ cup packed (75 g) brown sugar; 1¼ cups (300 ml) ketchup; 2 tablespoons cornstarch

I’m not saying my ribs are as good, but they get me there without the airfare. Serve with corn or mashed potatoes or mashed sweet potatoes or rice or coleslaw or all of the above.
