  • About

Meze, mazza, kemia, tapas...regardless of what you call them, these are delectable little nibbles to go with drinks, be it wine, schnapps or juice. They can be eaten before a meal, or simply offered to family and friends when they stop by to visit, especially during Shabbat in the Sephardic manner.

Ingredients

For the marinated olives

  • 2.5 ml/½ tsp coriander seeds
  • 2.5 ml/½

Method

  1. To make the marinated olives, crush the coriander seeds in a mortar with a pestle. Work in the garlic, then add the coriander leaves, lemon juice and olive oil. Cover the olives with the marinade. Cover with clear film (plastic wrap) and chill for up to one week.
