This deceptively easy-to-assemble dessert makes the most of seasonal strawberries which is served “trifle” style in water glasses. If you want to make the dessert more “grown up” then add some sherry or liqueur of your choice. Serves 4 to 6 people depending on the size of your water glasses.

Ingredients

  • 16 to 20 amaretti biscuits, crumbled
  • 600 ml extra thick double cream
  • 400 g</

Method

  1. Take 4 to 6 water glasses and spoon some of the crushed amaretti biscuits into the bottom.
  2. Add some of the sliced strawberries and then some thick cream.
  3. Repeat the layers one more time finishing with cream and garnish with a whole strawberry.
  4. For a grown-up version of this dessert, drizzle your favourite liqueur over the am
