There are a ton of barbecue sauces in most supermarkets these days, so one might ask why any sane person would make their own. I’ll be completely honest, I’m not sure that I have the best answer to that question. Some store-bought versions do have a lot of sugar and preservatives, but you can find good ones also. All I know is that I love my homemade version, and it doesn’t take that long to make. If you have a store-bought version that you like, go with it. If you feel like getting frisky, here’s one of my favorite homemade versions.
