This spice blend is inspired by the North African and Middle Eastern chile paste. It really shines in dishes with tomato paste, onions, and olive oil. The combination may sound odd, but it really works. Bonus: This blend is surprisingly good for digestion, as cumin, caraway, and mint all help to eliminate gas and bloating. Stir this into Cashew Cream, squeeze in plenty of lemon juice, then use as a creamy spiced dip for toasted pita.
