  • 1 pound cranberries
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 apples, peeled, cored and diced
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground allspice
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground cloves


  1. Pick over and wash the cranberries. Place them in a two-quart pan. Add the sugar and apples.

  2. Cover the pan and place over medium heat. When the cover is hot to the touch, reduce the heat to low and cook for twelve minutes. Stir in the spices and serve with pork, chicken or turkey.
