I love these simple cheese-stuffed turnips. Mascarpone is extremely rich but very good, although the first time I made the turnips I used a creamed Gorgonzola mixture. That is just as good, but, like a true chef, I enjoy experimenting with many variations. I usually serve the turnips with roast lamb, which is wonderful. Try using this stuffing in other vegetables, such as tomatoes, baby squash or artichokes.
