Method

Make the batter two hours before you need it. Preheat the oven to Reg 9/475°. Put two tablespoons of fat in a baking tin and heat in the oven for a few minutes. Stir the washed, thoroughly drained and dried fruit into the batter, pour it into the very hot fat and return it to the oven.
