Sift flour, salt, sugar and baking powder into a mixing bowl. Separate eggs; beat egg yolks into dry ingredients with a wooden spoon. Add milk and melted butter, and mix well.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into pancake batter. When ready to use, drop by spoonfuls on a hot, oiled, electric griddle (450°F.). Brown on both sides, and serve with grilled sausages and unsmoked bacon, b
