Walnuts and home-grown apples give a distinctly autumnal feel to this tasty salad. Perfect for an Indian summer, with chilled rosé.
Tear the lettuce into a salad bowl and add the chopped herbs and walnuts. Core and slice the apples and add to the salad. Add the vinegar, walnut oil, olive oil, lemon juice and seasoning and toss well. Gather the finely sliced ham into small bunches and scatter over the top of the salad. Toss lightly and serve.
