My mother in-law introduced me to the bright, sweet world of cobblers, crisps, and other delicious fruit-based desserts. I love their unfussy nature compared to pies, whose crusts usually require a bit of extra planning ahead—and kitchen work.
To prepare the fruit,
Cut the peaches, nectarines, and plums in half. Remove and discard the center stones and cut the halves into slices. Place in a 9 by 12 by 2 in [23 by 30.5 by 5 cm] baking pan
